RELEASING YOU:: Overcoming Insecurities and Unleashing the Beast

If anyone or anything is restraining you from being all you ought to be, that's most likely you. Yes, you! The first enemy you need to conquer is you. We find it easy to blame others and ‘situations beyond our control' when our lives are not going in the direction we desire. But here's an incontestable fact: No one has more control over your life than you do. You must come to terms with this reality if you want to take charge of your life. As a child, I grew up with a nervous condition that was so bad that I threw up daily. The ugly experiences marred my perception of myself, and I was locked up in self-sabotage with my self-esteem buried in the mud. This seeped into my adult life, and I had difficulty managing certain life events and emotions. I was constantly drowned in guilt over the past and fear for the future, making it impossible for me to be the best version of myself. My liberation came when I realized I had to take charge of my life. I couldn't remain in a pool of fear, worry, and guilt and still expect to flourish. There had to be a change, and that change had to begin within. There had to be a complete change in how I perceived myself and tackled life challenges. The unpleasant memories of the past can be so taunting that we are blinded to the future. There may be triggers now and then. The pain and regret that we feel may be justifiable. But should we rather remain there and rob ourselves of the beautiful things the future is pregnant of? Should we rather remain locked up in the bars of our minds than go out and seize what is ours? The answer lies with you. There is greatness within you, craving to be unleashed. Potentials are lying within you, seeking a means of expression. But would they find a way out? To remain in a state of regret and worry is to deny yourself your God-given potential. There is so much that you can be if you dare to believe and break free from the shackles of fear and regret. You can make lemonade out of the lemons that life throws at you. You can allow God's light and Spirit to permeate your soul to rid you of all garbage and open up your heart to see who you really are. You may ask, "How do I even do this? How do I get the past behind me and focus on the now and next? Where do I begin? How do I start?" You need not worry. I can understand because I have plied this route before. I can tell you that the burden of pain and regret can be so overwhelming that you remain stuck. I can tell that you may be too confused to see a way ahead. This is why I was inspired to write this book as a guide for everyone walking on the same path I have walked in. This book is a guide to freedom, a pointer to your place of discovering and unleashing the greatness within you. On this journey, we must travel light. So, get set to dispose of the garbage in your heart and break free from all entanglements as you enter the phase of BECOMING.
